Reason 1: Incomplete or Mismatched Passport Information
The most common reason for Dubai visa rejection is incomplete or incorrect passport information. The name on the visa application must exactly match the name on your passport — including spelling, spaces, and middle names. If your passport says "Muhammad Ahmed Khan" and your application says "Ahmed Khan," the visa will be rejected. Always copy the name exactly as it appears on the passport's machine-readable zone, including the exact spelling of "Muhammad" vs "Mohammad" vs "Mohd".
Other common information mismatches: date of birth format (DD/MM/YYYY), passport number (omit spaces), place of issue (write the exact city as in passport). Always cross-check every field against the passport before submitting.
Reason 2: Passport Expiry Within 6 Months

Any overstay, even if you paid the fine, can result in automatic rejection of future visa applications for a period of 6 months to 2 years, depending on the length of overstay. If the machine cannot read the passport details clearly, the visa is rejected — usually without any human review.
The correct way to submit passport copies:
- Use a flatbed scanner, not a phone photo if possible
- If using phone, ensure even lighting with no glare or shadows
- Include the full page edge-to-edge — no cropping
- Resolution: minimum 300 DPI, file size 500KB-2MB
- Save as JPG or PDF, not HEIC or other proprietary formats

If you have applied for multiple UAE visas in a short period (more than 3 in 6 months), or if you have a pattern of entering and leaving the UAE frequently without a clear business or employment purpose, the immigration system may flag your application as suspicious. This is especially common for people who use the UAE as a transit point for irregular travel to other destinations.
If you have a legitimate reason for frequent travel (business meetings, family in UAE, recurring medical treatment), include a cover letter explaining your travel purpose with supporting documents (business registration, family relationship proof, medical appointment letters).
Reason 7: Handwritten Passports
The UAE no longer accepts handwritten passports for visa processing — this has been policy since 2018.
