UK Visitor Visa Fees for Pakistanis in 2026: What Every Tier Costs Now, and Which One Your Family Should Buy

Every UK visa conversation in Pakistan eventually hits the same wall: the fee. Since the April 2026 revision of the Home Office fee table, a standard six-month visit visa costs £135 — up from £127 — while the long-term tiers rose in step: £506 for two years, £903 for five, and £1,159 for ten. For a family of five, that is the difference between £675 in single-trip visas and £5,795 for a decade of no applications. This guide puts the whole fee table in one place, then does the arithmetic most families skip: which tier actually pays for itself. Fees ka hisaab pehle, application baad mein — settle the fee arithmetic first, then file.

The Full Fee Table, No Surprises

    • Six-month Standard Visitor visa — £135 per person, multi-entry, maximum six months per visit
    • Two-year long-term — £506 per person
    • Five-year long-term — £903 per person
    • Ten-year long-term — £1,159 per person
    • Priority service — about £500 on top, for a decision inside five working days where offered
    • Every applicant pays separately — children included; there is no family bundle

Fees are set in pounds and paid online on GOV.UK; the rupee cost moves with the exchange rate, so budget on the day's rate plus your card's foreign-transaction margin. Two rules never change: the fee is non-refundable whether the visa is granted, refused, or withdrawn, and paying a higher tier does not guarantee that tier — UKVI can grant a shorter validity than you applied for, with no refund of the difference.

The Arithmetic That Decides the Tier

Count your realistic trips, not your hoped-for ones. The two-year visa at £506 equals roughly 3.7 six-month applications — it pays for itself from the fourth trip inside two years. The five-year at £903 breaks even around the seventh visit; the ten-year at £1,159 from about the ninth. A family flying once a year for Eid is almost always better served by six-month visas — two of them across two years cost £270 per person against £506. The long-term tiers reward the Manchester-Birmingham-London circuit families who cross two or three times a year. The deeper strategy — the travel-history logic that makes long-term applications succeed — is in our long-term visitor visa guide.

What the Fee Does Not Include

The visa fee is one of four costs, and families who budget only for it get surprised. The others: the biometrics appointment at the TLScontact centre in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi (included but requiring travel and time), the priority fee if you buy it, and the flight and hotel money that a refusal strands. The refusal risk is the real cost of a weak file: the fee is lost entirely, and the refusal record must be declared on every future UK application. What separates approvals from refusals is rarely the fee tier — it is the file: the sponsorship logic, the bank statements, the cover letter, all covered in our Roman Urdu UK visa application guide and our cover letter guide.

Priority, Super Priority and the Waiting Game

Standard processing from Pakistan runs roughly three weeks and can stretch longer in peak season, which is why the £500 Priority service exists — it buys a decision inside about five working days and nothing else. Whether it is worth £500 is a calendar question, not a status question: a wedding with a date needs it; a summer trip booked in February does not. The decision framework is in our priority service guide and the fast-track guide. One caution: do not buy Priority to rescue a badly prepared file — fast processing on a weak application just delivers the refusal sooner.

Flights, ETA and the Rest of the Budget

Two adjacent costs complete the picture. Flights: the Pakistan–London corridor now runs daily on PIA from 27 October 2026 — five Islamabad rotations, two from Lahore — and the fare strategies are compared in our Islamabad to London flights guide. And certain travellers transiting the UK may need the UK ETA or a transit visa depending on their route, which the UK ETA guide untangles before you book a connection you cannot legally make.

    Where Kimi Travels Fits In

The GOV.UK form does not need an agency — it needs patience and an honest file. What families bring to us is the arithmetic and the sequencing: which fee tier fits your actual travel pattern, which documents this caseworker season expects, and a submission calendar that does not collide with your flight dates. Kimi Travels tells clients openly when the six-month visa is the smarter buy, and answers WhatsApp through the whole wait — including the anxious week after biometrics. Every client travels with a written checklist, and no one here disappears after the fee is paid.

A visa fee buys a border's permission; no fee should buy a border's silence. We pray for Gaza's families, caged by Israel's siege while embassies printed paperwork around their dead — and for Sudan's, chased from home by RSF fire and Hemedti's ambitions, their applications filed from camps that were never meant to hold cities. Allah's Book is unbending on this: "Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves" (Qur'an 13:11) — so we change what we can: we speak, we stand, we remember, and we ask the Opener of gates to open Palestine's and Sudan's.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a UK visit visa from Pakistan in 2026?
£135 for the standard six-month visa under the fee table effective from April 2026. Long-term tiers cost £506 (two years), £903 (five years) and £1,159 (ten years), each per person, with children paying separately.

Are UK visa fees refundable if refused?
No. The application fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome — granted, refused or withdrawn — and the Priority fee follows the same rule. Build the file properly before paying, not after.

Is the 2-year visa better value than two 6-month visas?
Only if you will genuinely travel four or more times within two years. For once-a-year families, two six-month visas at £270 total beat the £506 two-year tier comfortably.

Can UKVI grant me a shorter visa than I paid for?
Yes. Caseworkers can issue a lower-validity visa than the tier you applied for, with no refund of the fee difference — another reason the honest trip-count matters more than ambition.

How much does Priority processing cost?
About £500 on top of the visa fee, for a decision within roughly five working days where offered at your centre. It speeds the decision; it does not improve the file.

Extending a Family Visit Visa in Saudi Arabia: The Absher Rules Pakistanis Keep Getting Wrong

Thousands of Pakistani families in Saudi Arabia bring parents, wives and children over on family visit visas every year — and a chunk of them turn a routine extension into an overstay case through three predictable mistakes. The rules that matter: Absher opens the extension only within roughly seven days before the visa expires, approved medical insurance covering the extended dates must be bought before the system will even process the request, and the roughly SAR 300 three-month extension fee plus insurance and service charges can double when the same stay is extended a second time. This guide sequences the whole flow — insurance first, fees second, buffer third — and covers the blockers families discover too late: the sponsor's iqama status, the visitor's passport validity for the extended period, and the difference between single-entry, multiple-entry and tourist visa extension logic. It also flags that the emergency fine-free exit relief for expired visit visas ended on 18 April 2026, meaning every day past expiry is being charged again under fully restored penalties, with the overstay ladder climbing toward detention, deportation and future bans.

The GCC Grand Tours Visa: The One-Visa-for-Six-Countries Plan Pakistanis Keep Asking About — and Why Nobody Can Apply for It Yet

The graphic landing in Pakistani WhatsApp groups is real but incomplete: the Gulf states formally approved a Schengen-style unified tourist visa — the GCC Grand Tours — intended to cover Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman on a single authorisation with reported stays of thirty-plus days across the bloc, and Saudi Arabia's tourism minister has publicly confirmed a 2026 launch target. What the forwards never mention: the pilot window talked about for late 2025 passed without a rollout, and as of late October 2026 there is no application portal, no published fee and no confirmed launch date. This guide lays out what was actually announced and by whom, what a unified visa would genuinely change for Pakistani families (single-application multi-country itineraries like Doha–Riyadh–Dubai replacing three parallel applications), what it will not fix (work rights, Umrah visa logic, Kuwait's strictness, national schemes), and the scam pattern that appears every time a visa is announced but not launched — agents collecting 'registration fees' for a visa with no portal, and ordinary country visas quietly relabelled as the 'GCC visa' at a markup. The standing rule: verification first, booking after — and an operator that sells only what exists.
